Community Update – October 2025

Boleskine Community Care (BCC) is pleased to share an update on the ongoing progress toward securing the future of the Foyers Shop and Post Office.

We expect to hear the outcome of our application to the Scottish Land Fund by mid-November. Following this, BCC will submit an application to the Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust (SFCT) for match funding to support the project.

Meanwhile, the Community Benefit Society (CBS), formally registered as Foyers Community Stores Ltd, are preparing to launch a Community Share Offer. The CBS is working closely with Development Trusts Association Scotland (DTAS) and Plunkett UK to ensure the offer is well structured and accessible to the local community. The initial fundraising target for the share offer is £50,000.

We are also seeking volunteers to join the Foyers Community Stores Management Committee. The committee will consist of up to eight members and play a key role in overseeing the shop and post office.
